Laundry sheets vs liquid detergent: which is better for a Singapore home?
Sheets win on space, waste and dosing; liquid wins only if you prefer pouring. A bottle of liquid detergent is mostly water, which you pay to ship and then store under the sink. A laundry sheet is the cleaning agent without the water, pre-measured, in a flat box.
Side by side
- Dosing. Liquid: a cap you eyeball, usually too much. Sheets: one sheet per normal load, two for a heavy one.
- Space. A box of 36 sheets fits a drawer or an HDB shelf. A 3-litre bottle does not.
- Waste. Sheets dissolve completely; the box is recyclable paper from FSC and PEFC certified recycled material. No plastic bottle to throw away.
- Transport. By our estimate, sheets cause around 94% less transport emissions than liquid detergent, because nobody is shipping water.
- Cleaning. Naturali sheets are ultra-concentrated and lift everyday dirt, sweat and food stains in hot or cold water.
- Skin. Gentle on skin, low-suds, free from phosphates, parabens, bleach and formaldehyde.
Cost
Naturali sheets are cheapest bought direct: single boxes at naturali.me are priced below the marketplaces, 3 boxes are $37.90, 6 boxes $66.90, and on a subscription $35.90 and $63.90 with free delivery (prices as of October 2026). Compare the per-load price to what you pay per load of liquid and the gap is small or in the sheets’ favour, before counting the bottle you no longer buy.
