Crafted with love – in support of Mother and Child Project (MnCP) from SACS
Here at Naturali, we are passionate about creating positive social impact and to support our local community. We are proud to partner with Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS) under their Mother and Child Project (MnCP) to curate these lovely laundry pyramid’s pouches hand made by the beneficiaries of this program.
About Mother and Child Project (MnCP)
Established in 2005, MnCP provides home based sewing work and vocational training to women in crisis. Their beneficiaries include disadvantaged women, single mothers, and women recovering from mental health conditions. MnCP aims to help them gain the skills and employment needed to become financially self-sufficient.
56 years of serving the community
It all started in the 1950s, where Mrs. Catharine Eng Neo Thomas, a nurse and wife of Mr. Francis Thomas, provided free treatment to a poor villager, which led to setting up a free clinic in Potong Pasir.
Mr. Francis Thomas, a teacher of St. Andrew’s School, started student counselling services to help students struggling with emotional difficulties in the 1960s. These services grew into a pioneer service of SACS, which was established on 31 August 1967.
SACS is a non-profit social service organization and an approved Institute of Public Character (IPC). Their mission is to serve the community through the three pillars – Psychiatric Services, Senior Services, and Family and Children Services.
